10 Famous Tourist Attractions in South Korea – yoshiewafa – There are so many must-visit tourist spots in South and North Korea when traveling to Korea. The capital of South Korea is Seoul, Korean tourism is visited either in winter or in summer. Apparently I haven’t written in this blog for a long time because I’m busy with the month of fasting and Eid 2013. I like the beautiful tourist attractions out there, although I can’t necessarily visit Japan tours, Thailand tours, Singapore tours, Malaysia tours and many more.

Okay, no more reason, this time I would like to introduce interesting and beautiful travel destinations in South Korea as follows:

1. Seoul is the capital of South Korea

City of Seoul is the business and cultural center of South Korea, where skyscrapers tower over Buddhist temples. Take in everything from inside the N Seoul Tower, built on its top in Namsan Park. The teahouses and insadong shops offer a taste of Korean specialties, which you can get more experienced by visiting the grounds and the Gyeongbokgung Museum. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Changdeokgung Palace is a fine example of authentic ancient architecture.

jeju is a booming tourist hotspot with unique attractions, including the popular adult-only sculpture park, Loveland, created by Hongik University graduates. That’s not embarrassing! Above all, Jeju is a popular honeymoon destination due to its romantic sunrises and sunsets, mild climate and beautiful sandy beaches. Adventure seekers can hike to Baeknok Lake at the top of Mount Halla, South Korea’s highest peak. Look out for “Haenyeo”, female divers collect fresh seafood, and iconic “grandfather statues” are displayed in front of many restaurants.

Busan is the second largest city in Korea. Tourists often come to this area to hike and visit Buddhist temples deep in the region’s mountains. Founded in AD 678, Temple Beomeosa is probably one of the most visited temples in the area and is always packed with devotees and tourists alike. For art lovers, Busan offers several museums and historical buildings. If scenery is your thing, visit Dongbaek Island or bird watch at the mouth of the Nakdong River.

incheon have more of everything! Art, entertainment, fashion, history and nature. The city is in the development of luxury real estate and is expected to be completed in 2015. For the 2014 Asian Games, they are also expecting a large number of visitors. Visitors can browse designer shops in Bupyeong District, enjoy events at the arts center, or discover local history at Liberty Park and Independence Memorial Hall. Visit the state’s only official Chinatown for authentic cuisine and souvenirs. A ferry ride to nearby islands is the perfect escape from the city center.

Seogwipo Located on the south side of Jeju Island, it offers magnificent hotels, sheer cliffs, popular beaches and beautiful waterfalls. As a coastal city, many activities in Seogwipo revolve around the sea, including scuba diving and submarine tours. Many restaurants specialize in fresh local seafood. There is also much to see and do inland, including temples, art museums, amusement parks and botanical gardens.

Now that the South Korean city’s volcanic beaches, scenic islands, and colorful historical sites have been discovered, it’s likely that it will become an internationally popular vacation spot. Catch a bus to Hyangiram Temple, stroll along the breakwater to Odongdo Island, or work your way through the exciting Fish Market.

When you’re full, hike to Omokdae and the Imokdae Rock Monuments or watch the athletes burn calories at the World Cup Stadium.

changwon is a paradise for bird watchers who (pardon the pun) flock here from all over the world to catch a glimpse of Korea’s largest migratory area. Junam Wetlands Park in particular is a popular place to spot thousands of birds flapping their wings. The Music Fountain at Yongji Lake is a spectacular sight, as are the statues on display at the Gyeongnam Art Museum. The local alkaline hot springs are the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and exploring.

jeongseon is a valley in Korea, South City, Gangwon Province, famous for its five-day market, a bonanza of fresh fish, produce, herbs, homemade kimchi, fabric, performances and street vendor stalls. For a glimpse into Jeongseon’s past, visit Arari Village, a recreation of a rural community with traditional houses, handicrafts, and a working water wheel.
